Iced Coffee! Uhhhhh my favourite thing in the world – after chocolate – even in this 2-degree-freezing-cold winter I still NEED it! I’ve had many in the past, milky, bitter, extra shot, in a carton or bottle, and have liked all of them, my favourite being the Barista Bros Double Espresso Iced Coffee! I prefer mine without any ice cream or whipped, just ice and milk, you could say I like mine similar to an Iced Late.
But, how about a homemade Iced Coffee using an espresso machine? Easy peasy! Let’s get to it!
What you’ll need;
Espresso machine – I used the Nespresso DeLonghi (the best gift ever)
Coffee Capsule – I’m using Caramelito from Nespresso
A glass of milk – 1 cup
2 tablespoons honey
Ice – Crushed would be awesome too
PS: If you don’t have a coffee machine, take 3 tablespoons of boiling water and mix in 3 teaspoons of ground coffee
Brew a shot coffee like you normally would. If you like it strong, brew two shots or a macchiato. I like mine in between so one shot was great for me!
Add the two tablespoons of honey and mix till dissolved properly as you don’t want any lumps in the end
Put a generous amount of ice
Put in your milk slowly so it doesn’t mix in with the milk just yet as we want to see a cool ombre effect in the end ;P
Mix it from the bottom and Viola! Enjoy! If you’re feeling frisky, go ahead and add a big dollop of cream!
