Hey ya’ll! Ever walk into the makeup section of a lavish mall which features all the classy brands and high end makeup? Half you’ve never even heard before? (I just found out there was a makeup brand called NARS like a month ago so no one’s judging anyone :P). Well for starters, i’m not a very ‘makeup person’ myself and like to lay low on it. I don’t use foundation, never have never will, because I believe that inner beauty is everything and a woman should shine from the inside! Naaaaaah! I’m just kidding! Come on ladies inner beauty is definitely one to believe in but a little makeup here and there won’t hurt right!

I tried a lipgloss from a drug store once and my lips turned to a dark blackish-blueish! Literally! I try to avoid using drugstore makeup as much as I can and only buy stuff like nail polishes and hair products. Which reminds me, I bought a Toni&Guy Heat Resistant Spray from a drugstore and must use it every time I straighten my hair, check it out! How I Straighten My Hair

Let’s get to it! Below are mine and Gemma’s high end makeup picks from some of ‘those classy brands’ out there! If you aren’t subscribed to her, well, DO IT NOW! -> http://gemmajonescruze.com She’s a talented beauty blogger and blogs about her favourite makeup picks and gives great advice! And she’s also the first person to collaborate with Sugar And Shoes! Yay! 😀

Raneil: Revlon PhotoReady Concealer in Light-Medium. Conceal don’t fear, don’t let them knoooooow! Okay got carried away. This was my first ever concealer and haven’t changed ever since. It’s very smooth and blends in really well! I prefer to use solid products rather than liquid ones because I have better control if it. It helps cover the bags under my eyes as well as covers my very ‘show-y’ acne scars.

Gemma: M.A.C pro Longwear concealer in NW20. I mostly purchase my concealers from drugstores and my favourite being the Rimmel Wakeme Up concealer which is great for brightening up the eye area. But for the sake of this post, i’m going with my Mac Pro Longer concealer! It gives full coverage results without looking cake-y and feeling heavy on the skin.

Raneil: HD Stick Foundation in Tan. After looking literally everywhere for a contour stick (well at least one that I liked), I found out from YouTube that using a foundation that’s 3 times your skin colour is perfect as a contour. And Viola! I spotted this baby! I’ve been reading about Face Of Australia everywhere and decided to give it a shot, support my local brands yo! So I went ahead and bought this stick. It’s very fun to use because it’s feels smooth on the skin and just like the concealer, blends really well (as you can see how blunt the sides are because i’ve used it quite A LOT). However, I have to start blending it immediately I put it on because it’s stays put really quick, but I like that cause i know it’s not gonna fade within like 4 hours!

Gemma: Eve Lom Golden Radiance Bronzing Powder. This is such an underrated product. I don’t think I have seen any other blogger or anyone for that matter use or mention this product. The powder itself is so finely milled and applies to the skin so nicely. However its best if your skin is powdered previously other wise to will apply patchy. I prefer to use this a bronzer to warm up my face on my cheek bones and corners of my forehead. Not so much to be used for contouring as the shade is very golden.

Raneil: Genie Million Dollar Duo Mascara. I cannot emphasise how much i despise buying mascara! If they don’t work, they go straight in the bin (so does my dollars). Ugh i’ve tried like 10 mascaras and struggled to find ‘the one’, and finally I did. This mascara comes with a little white friend, TLC Mascara Lash Booster. Before applying the actual mascara, the lash booster needs to be applied first which helps to seperate the lashes and adds a smooth volume. The wand is bent to match the shape of your eyelid. The spindles on the wand are big and spaced out so the mascara doesn’t clump on the lashes. No more long spider legs! My favourite high end makeup pick!

Gemma: Josie Maran Argan Black Oil Mascara (waterproof). Im not biased when it comes to mascara whether it be high end or drugstore. But in this case this mascara has won me. It adds volume and its very black. Containing bamboo and Argan oil which protects the lashes but also giving the volume effect. Loving!!

Raneil: Oriflame Gloss Booster in Lychee. This is the shiniest, glossiest, and yummiest lip gloss I have ever bought. Yes you heard me, yummiest! It’s flavoured! It’s super shiny, i’m not even exaggerating. But make sure to tie your hair up because it is really sticky as well.

Gemma: Hourglass Femme Nude Lip Stylo in No.5 Gold Peach. Hourglass have a range of beautiful lipsticks, this range have 6 different shades of nudes. Has luxurious feel on the lips, very comfortable to wear. Satin finish. The packaging is gorgeous with metal casing and in crayon form. If I’m indecisive on what lip stick to wear i grab this one!

Raneil: Mac Make You Mine Pro Longer Blush. Because this blush has a natural brown-pink shade, it matches any colour shade of eye-shadow or lipstick. I can wear it everyday due to the natural matte effect without any shimmer or glitter and that’s why I love it! I took a super closeup picture so you would be able to see the colour properly 🙂

Gemma: Tarte Tartiest Clay Blush Palette (limited edition). I couldn’t just choose one blush!!!
unfortunately this is a limited edition but at the moment this is the one i gravitate too. Highly pigmented, and a range of beautiful shades you can wear all year round. What more can i say?

And there you go! Our favourite high end makeup picks! Hope you enjoyed this post! I’ve also written a post on what products I use to remove my makeup -> My Shower Routine
