Have you ever just looked at your oaty dry cereal and just gone ‘Ugh, I wish marshmallow fruit loops we’re healthy!’ I can show you how to turn that ugly bland cereal to a healthy bowl of happiness with these fun cereal toppings and the best part is, it hardly takes two minutes! Keep your will power intact girl and put down the loops.
1. VERY BERRY
This topping not only makes your cereal look Instagram worthy, but tastes like a crunchy berry smoothie. Throw in a generous amount of raspberries, blueberries, and chop up strawberries. When i’m in a mood for something sweeter I like to sprinkle some icing sugar on the top to step up the idea of fun cereal toppings. During the summer, I love to throw some frozen berries because they become a very ‘satisfying’ texture when mixed with milk and the crunchy cereal (don’t judge it until your try it) :P.
2. SWEET BANANAS
Bananas are a great source for potassium and Vitamin C, while honey is the best natural cleanser. Cut a banana in circles (or if you prefer dry bananas from the store which go great as well) and drizzle a spoonful of honey. Yum!
3. I’M CRAZY, I’M NUTS
Personally, i’m not a big fun of nuts except salted peanuts (which definitely won’t be very appealing on cereal) soooo, a dusty granola (grind chia seeds, walnuts, almonds, oats) sprinkled on cereal with a spoonful of honey tastes so good I can’t even think about all the nuts! Thanks mum 😉 This topping is more of the healthy cereal topping than the fun cereal topping 😛
4. A GIRL’S FIRST LOVE
Chocolate, chocolate and even more chocolate! Add some dark chocolate chips, milk chocolate shavings or cut up a stick of Kit Kat. This is my favourite healthy and fun cereal topping because duuuuh, it’s chocolate!
