Halloween decorations have to be the second best thing I look forward to at this time of the month! Throughout the years that I have celebrated Halloween, i’ve always opted for the blood and life size skeletons – in other words, scary decor. But this time round, I wanted to do something different and opted for the ‘elegant’ side of Halloween decor.
Here are some of the things I DIY-ed or bought from dollar stores!
BALLS OF WEB
These are super easy to do! All I did was buy these string lights for about $5 and stuck plastic spiders on each ball with PVA Glue! I’M A GENIUS! 😛
NOT YOUR ORDINARY VASE
Grab a clear vase – size is up to you, I bought this from a reject shop for about $2. Spray paint the vase with black paint and stick halloween figures using super glue. I then squeezed a line of liquid glue on the rim of the vase and poured some purple glitter. Grab any orange flowers of your choice and throw them in, effortless but super elegant ey?
JUST A COUPLE O’ BONES HANGIN’
I couldn’t resist not buying these cute little lads! They had little holes not the top in which I knotted a string on each one and hung them outside the porch pillars.
A SPIDER’S HABITAT
First off, can I just start off by saying how much I HATE spiders! But it wasn’t so bad working with these plastic ones, well, ’cause I know their fake!
Grab some string and tape each end with painter’s tape on each corner of the wall, into the shape of a snowflake. Stretch some fake web (literally bought mine for 99c) and throw on some plastic spiders!
We have a long wooden table in our living room and i thought it would be cool to kind of change it from rustic to elegant, soooooo, I chucked more orange flowers in a glass vase and stretched the 99c fake web across the table and flowers.
And that’s it, LITERALLY! You got yourselves some pretty cheap, easy, and super classy (notice my British accent) Halloween decor!
